NEXT TIME, SHE'LL GET HERSELF A CLEAR, ONE-QUART, RESEALABLE PLASTIC BAGGIE
...and carry her father in that.
(Thanks to Matthew Hampton, who observes: "But his luggage arrived on time.")

If BA made the decision, they should pay the bill.

"BA staff decided Mr Ghadban's foot needed medical attention."
See, right there is where the "Jaws" music starts playin'

According to the article Mr. Ghadban "Is still awaiting for his luggage to be returned by BA."
So, contrary to what Mr. Hampton said, the luggage didn't arrive on time.

I'm surprised BA didn't also overbook her father's hospital bed or force him to change hospitals in Chicago.

I say this with 25+ years in the travel industry. This is deplorable. Do all the invesigating you want BA, but first make it right. Get this man to his family.
This is yet another story of why a good portion of the airline sector is so vilified. Don't get me wrong; there are some shining exceptions.
I'll be stepping off my soapbox now and slinking off.

In America we would have arrested him for something. Non-English-speaking man of brownish origin sitting in an airport? That's a CNN special waiting to happen.

*snork* at Punkin (and ditto)
Looks like Matthew didn't even read his own submission, as the luggage was lost too.
