Let's see, he violated Mexician law getting someone that violated American law and doesn't expect to pay for it!?
... interesting ... guess this says something about his character ...

btw - Dog, if you can read this, many, many thanks for getting rid of that Luster creep. I live where he lurked. You did EVERYONE a huge favor.

Siouxie - yes you did. As have others. May they rest in pieces. ;)
Posted by: Annie Where-but-here | August 03, 2007 at 11:49 AM
MKJ - yes - his mullet looks fishy, don't it? And he looks dawg-tired.

This is what I love about governments. They want to arrest and charge the man who gets a serial rapist off the streets and into custody.
Posted by: fivver | August 03, 2007 at 11:53 AM
Why are they all wearing flowers?
Posted by: Siouxie | August 03, 2007 at 11:56 AM
fivver, he probably could have done that by reporting him to the police ... just saying.
**disclamer**
NOT that I'm backing the rapist. Yes, it's good he's been brought to justice. I just don't agree with Dog's self-promotion.
/**disclamer**
*thinks there's a new catagory of US TV, "Trash-TV"*
Posted by: kibby F5™ | August 03, 2007 at 12:01 PM
I, for one, am thrilled that Dawg, Dwayne and Leland are gonna be OK. They (and Beth) are truly nice people who honestly believe in what they're doing.
kibby, it's not that simple. Luster was convicted of 82 counts of rape, jumped bail and went to Mexico. The Mexican gubmint refused to extradite him back to the U.S. "Reporting him to the police" certainly wouldn't have done anything. The odd part is, when Mexico wanted the Chapmans extradited for their heinous crime of capturing a convicted rapist (82 counts!), our gubmint grabbed them and hauled them off to Mexico.
BTW, is everyone who has a television show "self promoting"?
Posted by: Layzeeboy | August 03, 2007 at 12:23 PM
kibby - the policia are on the take down there. Luster woulda 'posted bail' and run again. Not that what Dawg did was completely legal. But it was the right thing to do.
I could care less about his self-promotion. I can always turn the tv off. The Lusters of the world I can't.
Posted by: Annie Where-but-here | August 03, 2007 at 12:25 PM
Mr. Luster would have been extradited back to the U.S. if he hadn't been stuffing money in various and sundry Mexican officials' pockets. It's great to be a rich rapist. You go Dog!!!

Ain't this a great world for celebrities? Imagine us nobodies going down to Mexico with a gun or two to get somebody . . . how long would we be in jail?
Posted by: Alien8 | August 03, 2007 at 02:22 PM
Alien8
When the celebrity is out to bring a convicted rapist (86 times over no less) to justice I am more than willing to give him or her a pass.
Posted by: Recovering 24 Addict | August 03, 2007 at 02:44 PM
Oh, thank God.
I can sleep now.
Geez.
Posted by: Mongo | August 03, 2007 at 02:45 PM
I'm with you all. I'd even give Paris a medal if she captured some scum like that guy.
Posted by: Siouxie | August 03, 2007 at 02:53 PM
he was actually jailed when he was there...begging the question "who let the Dog out?"
Posted by: Chaz | August 03, 2007 at 03:04 PM
Heck I support a Charlie's Angels crew consisting of Paris, Britney and Lindsey if it brought down this guy.
Posted by: Recovering 24 Addict | August 03, 2007 at 03:07 PM
Hey Dave, just one tip: "looking good" and "the Dog" do not belong in the same sentence. (Man, his hair gives me nightmares.)
Otherwise, good news all around.

Go Dog!
Posted by: Bethie | August 03, 2007 at 03:27 PM
You know what would be ironic? If Dog went to jail in Mexico, and someone put up a couple million dollars to anyone who could get him free ... and nobody could.
Posted by: Mr Death | August 03, 2007 at 05:50 PM
Good for Dog! I don't know much about him, but I like people who get nasties like that off the street.
Posted by: Kristina L. | August 03, 2007 at 10:24 PM
dog is d best...we like ya crew cause without people like you there would still be scum on the streets.. you are the best...in dog we trust..we watch ya show every day and nite...

While I enjoy watching "Dog" ~ could somebody please tell me why he goes after such minimal bail/bond amounts? Is it just for the show? (The manpower that goes into these efforts far exceeds the bond amount ~ in most cases shown on TV)

I saw dog the bounty hunter and his wife yesterday. They were in Thornton, Colorado at the mile high flee market. I was buying vegitables at a stand that is there every week. His wife got in front of me in line. I was actually a little irritated with that. I looked over and saw who she was talking to. She was talking to him. I said are you dog the bounty hunter. He said no kind of sarcastically. Then other people noticed too and started taking pictures with their cell phones and posing with him. They left pretty quick after they paid for their vegitables. I wondered if they are vacationing here or living here. Of course I did not ask or even have the chance to ask.
