Dave, I have to agree with whoever said it on the other thread (which I'm too lazy to look up): if you want that bear to look dangerous, lose the bib.

It had been put there by a local archery club to use as a target."

A Norwegian bear that had been hit by a train was shot "just in case" as a sign of prudence. http://www.aftenposten.no/english/local/article1917571.ece
Looks like the Germans are not being as cautious as others in the EC.

Jeff M --
I think the bear is the one with the blue shirt and sandals. Dave is the one wearing the bib.

Guess we should call off our plans to raid the local Build-a-Bear Workshop. A franchise I'm sure Dave is familiar with.

Annie, come to think of it...he does. And now, Cheney's got a brand new battery for the old ticker. Just keep the shotguns away.

"It had been put there by a local archery club to use as a target."
Seems it had worked. Wonder if they bagged any of those "special squad" police?

Siouxie - ok, no shotguns. But I'm bringing my uber-magnet.

Somewhere in the Black Forest region in south-west Germany there lived a young critter named Bruno the Bear, now
Police say he fled into the quaint little town of Titisee-Neustadt
What do you think of that?
(I just like saying Titisee-Neustadt)

Bruno's been shot, RIP Bruno.
Seems the FIRST! bear in German woods for over 50 years wasn't all that welcome...
