Judi, I don't think so. My daughters informed me two weeks ago that we're having "snacks" during the game, and have reminded me of that repeatedly until just a few minutes ago. I have also been informed this will consist of nachos, mozzarella sticks, salsa and chips, jalapeño poppers and soft drinks.
we've got chips and salsa, chips and cheese sauce, creme'd brie and bagel chips, peanuts in the shell, chex mix, bagel bites, jalapeno poppers, wings, empanadas, popcorn shrimp, egg rolls and to assuage my motherly guilt, baby carrots and a fruit plate. oh and some hawaiian rolls. and beer and coke!!! i love superbowl!!
Did they rehearse that even once before today? People appeared to be wandering aimlessly out there. Was that kid strapped into the balloons supposed to get more than 2 feet off the ground?
Oooo good ones, fivver and Ducky! In St. Pete, the official mystery meats [hamburger and hot dogs] are accompanied by coleslaw [on top]. As was my smoked pork and hot pepper vinegar/ Texas Pete lunch sandwich. Man, I have a lot of leftover coleslaw!
judi, anything is fine as long as you ingest large quantities of barley pop with it. I have a very nice lamb stewin the crockpot timed to come out at halftime, with of course a fine malted accompaniment.
Gee, the Blog is really bulking up...

I know it's Miami and all, but did they really have to tear the head off of a football player for that?
...Oh, wait... maybe this is for an upcoming episode of CSI Miami.

is it legal to eat .. you know, normal food for dinner when the super bowl is on?
Posted by: judi | February 04, 2007 at 05:32 PM
Dave, you may actually be Jack Bauer-proof wearing that outfit. You still need baggie protection though.
Posted by: Blimps | February 04, 2007 at 05:33 PM
judi, NO!!!!!!!!!!!
Posted by: crossgirl | February 04, 2007 at 05:34 PM
Obviously a fake photo. Football players never look that deep in thought.
Posted by: Stevie W | February 04, 2007 at 05:34 PM
That depends upon whut you actually mean by "normal" ...
Posted by: OtheU(manity) | February 04, 2007 at 05:35 PM
No judi, you must have mystery meat [brauts, hot dogs, hamburgers] and beer. In your case, sausage on the delivery pizza.
