What? This makes no sense to me - he spammed then buried gold? If I was Mom and Dad, I'd be all over that place myself

Ahahahahahaha.
This is one of those cases where you just don't know who to root for -- both are just sooooo evil.

CH-Amen.

Arrr. I be tryin' to reconcile these two statements:
AOL's lawyer notified the family that the company intends to use bulldozers and geological teams to hunt for gold and platinum on their property.
AOL said it will try to accommodate Hawke's parents by not being too obtrusive.

AOL doesn't make enough money by refusing to let customers leave?
Posted by: peridot | August 16, 2006 at 11:59 AM
The company indicated it believes Hawke buried the loot on his parents' property using a shovel.
Not a pickaxe then, Mate? Or a hoe, perhaps? What particular brand of shovel was it?

Imagine if Dr. Suess were to be involved: Green Eggs and Spam.

Sounds like a phishing expedition.

I predict they will find a lot of dirt. And, as bonus, old plastic and glass bottles.
(People throw out their trash *everywhere*, and plastic and glass is the most common thing to find, because it doesn't break down)
On the other hand, they get to play in dirt. However, this is *much* more fun if you're with Johnny at the time, so....

Kee-rist! I bet next they'll exhume my Dad and go thru his pockets!

Punkin, I doubt that your Dad filled people's inboxes with offers of pr0n and mortgage refinances. He's safe (probably) from AOL.

Hmmm....*gets idea for fall garden*....

Why doesn't AOL spend its resources providing internet access that isn't a super spamway?
Posted by: Cheesewiz | August 16, 2006 at 01:21 PM
I drive through Medfield every day. It is a small, country-ish town. I can just imagine the upheaval this is going to cause if the AOL goons come in with their backhoes. They may have a special Town Meeting to discuss it, and vote on a "shoot-to-kill" policy.

The sad thing is this makes AOHell look less crazy.
