You can't just sit there and let somebody make incorrect statements about American Idol, even if she is your mother.
Most Surprising Statement: "Court records say that Favreau and Chagnon were drinking alcohol at the time."

allegedly striking his mother in the head with a sharp object hooked to a bicycle chain
Is it possible that he was aiming for Ryan Seacrest? Because that's really just self-defense.
Posted by: KDF | June 01, 2006 at 06:02 PM
KDF: I'd chip in for bail if he did hit Seacrest.
Who's with me?
Posted by: Jeff Meyerson | June 01, 2006 at 06:05 PM
You Americans only complain about Seacrest because you haven't had to endure the Canadian Idol host, Ben Mulroney. Yes, that Mulroney's son.
Posted by: Neil G | June 01, 2006 at 06:17 PM
Mulroney procreated?! Say it ain't so!!

Brian and Mila's progeny, a human being made entirely of smarm.

A sharp object attached to a bicycle chain. I suppose it's just silly to wonder where the bike is.

Do the producers of this DREK understand that they're (not their) appealing to the sludge of American society? If they don't..they're stupid. If they do..they just don't care. LET'S SELL SOME AIRTIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Posted by: Layzeeboy | June 01, 2006 at 10:04 PM
OMG! He even looks smarmy! In a sort of greaseless, Eddie Haskel way ...
(In jail, needs $5,000 for bail ... mebbe if he called his parents, they'd spring him?)

Posted by: obi wan | June 01, 2006 at 11:09 PM
Yeah, I can see that ... but my Eddie is smarmier than your Eddie, IMHO ...

"Sm@rmier" sets off the robot? Hu Nu?
Posted by: O. the U(manity) | June 02, 2006 at 12:06 AM
Oh, geez Obi - Eddie Munster was EXACTLY who I thought of when I saw that picture - get outta my head!
Posted by: marfie | June 02, 2006 at 01:18 AM
...and a little like Fred Savage from The Wonder Years, dontcha think?
Posted by: marfie | June 02, 2006 at 01:20 AM
OK -- but Kevin (Fred) was less smarmy as soon as he opened his mouth ... then he wuz merely ... (pre)adolescently naive ... ?
Posted by: O. the U(manity) | June 02, 2006 at 02:03 AM
Yeah, marfie...
Tonight on WWF, Eddie "Fred" "The Savage" Munster in a no-holds barred cage match with Ben "The Seacrest" Mulroney.

I'm guessing he had the bike chain as some kind of jewelry. I mean, when someone pisses me off, the first thing I do is look for the nearest bicycle and sharpened cross-shaped object...
Good thing he wasn't really mad, or he might not have taken the time to take the chain OFF the bike.

LTTG as usual (unless Dave's in town), but... Crossgirl? Do you remember a recent sale to any "American Idol" fans from northeastern New York?
For love o' God, don't give him the spaghetti sauce recipe!
