nicely done!

so, have you ever kissed a wookie on the mouth, and slipped him a little bit of tongue?

*SNORK*

TC~ You wish.

"9. We know Cal is the bad guy because he sneers at the poor and treats his fiancee like property. We know Darth Vader is the bad guy because he strangles people and blows up planets for fun."

*wondering, do I give this a *snork, or do I go out for a full (Barry-disapproved-of) ROFLMAO?

Sorry, Dave, ROFLMAO!

*snorks to Bumble for kissing a (TC) wookie!!

And to KDF, aaaaahhhhhh!!!! "That's TWICE you've saved me!"

geezer alert: i had a batman RECORD ALBUM wherein the death of robin's parents was described in excrutiating detail.

Ooooh, neat, judi! Don't you wish you still had stuff like that?

I had a 45-record of a song called "the Batmobile" backed with something about "The Penguin". Amazingly, I could at least still hum the tune of said songs, even though I do not remember what I had for lunch today...

obi wan, not implyin' anything in particular.

*hums innocently*

and I'm south of Baton Rouge. ;)

*hopes and prays that Bumble doesn't Google "record album"*

judi~ Do you still have it?

damn - i was sure that was gonna work

judi - still got that record? it'd be good as gold on ebay

KDF~ I'm insulted. Those are those dusty things daddy has stacks and stacks of on the bookshelf. (My favorite one is The Unicorn by the Irish Rovers. He made me a tape. The CDs sell for upwards of $74.00 on the internet. :-)

Phew!

Actually, we still have two record players in the house (not including the Fisher Price one I got for Christmas in '88), and they both work.

OK, i had to explain to my daughter what a record was - she's pushin' 17 (geez I'm gettin'old) - not all that much younger than you cuddle bug

Temeritous~ Ask her what an 8 track (is it eight, or some other number?) is. That'll really get her.

I think that Tom Cruise should be in the movie...no, sorry, that's a 'dipstick thespian,' my mistake...

I just sent the link for this thread to my big sis (huge Star Wars fan; she's the reason know the difference between good and bad Lucasfilm). Her responses: "Michael Keaton saying 'I am Batman' is indeed hawt." and "Who is TC?"

*snork*

correction: She's the reason I know the difference, etc. Carry on.

Bumble- your dad has an album of the Irish Rovers????????? (OK, copyright laws, I can't (not Kant) ask you to send me a copy...) But I know some Irish folksingers around here that play a lot of their (not there) music, so I'm familiar...

SG- send me some grits?... I'll pay... but they are SSSOOOOOO hard to come by (OK, THAT ALSO SOUNDED BAD [batting around .129 today in the posts])... SSSOOOOOO hard to FIND in the markets up heah in the Nawth... Near Donaldsonville? Morgan City?

i've still got a LOT of my old albums, but not that one, i'm afraid. i do have probably barry manilow's entire collection, though, because my parents were going to throw all their albums away, and i couldn't bear it, so i rescued them. :) i've also got lots of old shows/operetta type thingies like the student prince...

Late to the party.

Good show, TC.

Carry on.

Gawd, and forgot to thank KDF for the 2nd mojo... (AGAIN!) Keep 'em comin' KDF, and sorry for forgettin' the thanks... yer ma pal... (starting to wonder if I should call in sick to work tomorrow [they don't ask if it's 'cause of a hangover...])

JT- "The Dipstick Thespians" WBAGNFARB...

who's TC?

damn - thought everyone knew me - of course you realize, this changes everything

obi wan~ Yeah. I remember him playing it for me when I was little. We've also got tons of other old ones; James Taylor and Cynthia Clawson for mom, Songs of Sesame Street for us girls, and probably a bunch of John Denver, Gordon Lightfoot and Simon and Garfunkel if I know dad. I don't know what all else. There're a lot of them.

Timothy~ I don't think she was asking that question in a good way. I should have directed her to a less flirty thread. She's got a mother-bear protective complex when it comes to her baby sister. I think she's afraid I'm going to meet bad people who will compromise my innocence if left to my own devices on the internet. None of you are bad people, right? ;-)

More sh!tty writing!

More unique ...

YOU CANNOT QUALIFY "UNIQUE" ... It is either ONE-OF-A-KIND, or it is NOT ...

(And besides which already, those boots are NOT "knee-high" ... they only go about 3/4ths of the way up her tibiae ... not sayin' they don't look good, merely sayin' the writer don't know nuttin' ...)

Bumble, stay away from CoastRaven, and maybe insomniac, and... OK, ME.... otherwise, everybuddy else on the blog seems OK! (Just kidding about CoastRavern... and insomniac... Well, I'll leave it at that...)

nope, no bad people around here

me, compromise your innocence? as if - no sirree

*snork*

your innocence is perfectly safe with me

U.O. - good points all

but ya gotta admit - she's one hot cartoon lesbian, yes?

obi~ insom's a math teacher; if I can't trust him, I'm in trouble. :-) As for CR, him I don't know much about, but he always seems to land in the doghouse with TC, so... :-)

Taran~ I know. ;-)

gotta go

catch ya later snuggle bug

Bumble, well, there's no concern (Ahem!) when it comes to me (AHEM!)... Ummmmm, ask Marfie or Annie Where-But-Here...

'Night, TC. :-)

obi wan~ If you say so. G'night. :-)

obi wan, I Hate Grits.

just sayin. ;)

and I'm a bit south of Donaldsonville (I can't believe I'm writin' that here!) and a bit east of Morgan City.

so where ya from again? ;)

Bumble - a Gordon Lightfoot cd (that's like a really small record. btw, ;) )is in my car right now, and S&G get a "thumbs up" too.

and O. the U -we all know you're the most unique person here, so just chill, ok?

bwahahaha...

s-girl~ I'll let dad know you approve. I'll be over here humming Don Quixote or The Pony Man if you need me. :-)

SG, then gotta be Chacahoula... or mebbe Shrievar? Try Donner? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

TC - OH, YEAH! That's a given ... merely agreein' ...

sg - HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! LOL!!!

SG- Trust me, I ain't (not aint... well, never mind) triangulatin'... but how can a SouthernGirl hate grits? Your (not you're) mother weaned you from the teat on grits, right? (Oh, maybe that esssplains it, eh, Lucy?) An' ya' still don't want to tell me where ya' live? (Thinkin' SG is thinkin' obi wan... well, never mind). I's jus' curious!?! Like I say, mom's born 'n raised in Baton Rouge, so I know the area...

SG - Gordon Lightfoot? man, that brings back memories...I ushered a concert of his waaaaaay back when I was in High School. Great songs - except for "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald", that one irritated the hell out of me.

Oh, and Obi? Perfect gentleman and one of the leaders of the pun pack. :-)

I'm gonna have to check on this when I get back home, but I'm pretty sure that one of the things that came along with Mrs. Meanie when I got married was the Batman record that Judi described. And I know that somewhere I have a cassette tape where a Jewish friend, as a prank birthday gift for an Irish friend, recorded the Irish Rovers' version of Unicorn (which the Irish friend absolutely hated) over and over again on the entire tape.

And Bumble, you know we're not bad, we're just drawn that way. Kinda like the topical character of this thread, if anyone remembers. Which reminds me.... congrats, TC!

marfie~ You're not alone in being utterly irritated by that song. One of my brother-in-law's teachers made them listen to it over and over at school one day, and he can't stand to hear it to this day.

Blue~ Better send me your repeat Unicorn tape. I want to play that song for my nephew when I go to visit, and if he likes it as well as he liked Auntie Bea's "Dragon Song" (he ran up to me at the altar during my sister's wedding and asked me to sing it after spiking the ring bearer's pillow like a football) a repeating loop of it might come in handy. He has limited patience for rewind time. And are you sure you're not bad? ;-)

Bumble, I would be not only bad, but downright monstrous, if I gave you that tape. I should probably just pack for He11 now by giving you THIS.

obi wan, yes, I hate grits. always did. I mean, they're just so...gritty. :)

and the towns you named? all wrong, but one of 'em is pretty dang close. ;)

*day after "awww, shucks" to marfie

*kiss on the cheek (no, not THAT one...)

*tries to back out of the room like a Southern gent...

*sigh*
judi, The Student Prince - wow!

Drink, drink, drink to hearts that were....

I did a search for the lyrics but couldn't find them. :(
Wonderful song, great music.

Whatever happened to the "T" in ROFL?

*sneezes*

Oh, there it is.

Is her cape made out of flannel material?

BTW, for fellow Bat-Fans....

and this... and this... Man you can waste a whole WEEK in there...

"Oh we'll drink a-drink a-drink to Judi the pink the pink the pink, the savior of... the Barry Blo-o-og"
(Name that tune! Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?)

Although not an official rider of the geezer bus, I figure maybe I can earn an honorary seat, being raised by my parents like I was.

Anyone? Anyone? Something-doo economics? Voo-doo economics.
*snork*

Anyway...this Batman stuff reminds me of an awesome MST3K episode...they're watching a movie called Time Chasers, and there was a limo valet guy who looked a whole lot like Keaton. So Crow says, "Micheal Keaton! It's him!"
At the end of the scene, some people are getting into the limo and the Keaton valet guy stops and gives the main characters a significant look (for some reason), and Mike chimes in perfectly, saying "I'm Batman" in a very somber voice.
Of course, I never understood why he said that until I became a Burton fanatic and had watched Beetlejuice and Batman Returns...
