Let me be first to say that this is probably the reason for the high price:
The restaurant will donate $10 from each sale to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

I'll be FIRST to order. What? Pay the mortgage instead? Silly husband has no sense of adventure!

$100??? And it's STILL made up of the parts of cows (no matter how well-bred) that we wouldn't eat unless they're disguised by being ground to a pulp.
I'll take two.

They just better not try to charge me another $.39 for a slice of cheese.

Well, I'm Mc-surprised.

Punkin, will your tummy hold both burgers? Can I have the other one?
My membership dues are up, and I'm a little short on cash.

20 ounces?? Do they keep a defibrillator in the kitchen?
Posted by: KDF | June 21, 2006 at 11:07 AM
I think that slice of cheese will run you about $15 though Max...

And the waiter gets an 18% tip on a $125 bill for bringing out one hamburger. Everybody wins!

Iowa has them totally beat. We have the gunderburger at the Irish Shanti (in Gunder -population 35), which is absolutely fabulous and filling and worth a visit. For the record, the Gunderburger is $6.50.
Check out the prices and photos here:

So much for your six-dollar-burger at Carl's Jr.
So, basically, I can pay $125.00 and some change for a plate of cardiac arrest? Do I get fries and a Pepsi with that?
Posted by: Schadeboy | June 21, 2006 at 11:22 AM
"Cheeseburger! Cheeseburger! Cheeseburger!"
"No Coke. Pepsi!"

I wonder if the tax payers were picking up the mayor's tab?
Posted by: Sean | June 21, 2006 at 11:27 AM
No FRIES!! CHIPS!!!
Posted by: Susy | June 21, 2006 at 11:30 AM
Two and a half inches thick? Who, besides people in cartoons, has a mouth that opens that wide?
Note that I am being all restrained and not making a Paris Hilton joke. Aren't you impressed?

Sounds like a cardiologist's wish come true.

2 inches thick?
Big deal.
Hardee's has that beat, and it costs less than six bucks:

Greg - ahem, size isn't everything. I believe there's a 'rigid' post around here about that.

10 to Make-A-Wish?!!! How bout I just send the whole $100 to a Make-A-Wish - and a big old clue to this Florida Club? That's so dumb.

I ordered a Kobe beef burger at one of our local "better" restaurants (someone else was paying), about $12, I think, and it was dry and not tasty at all.
Waste of money.

There's a restaurant in Plentywood, MT that has this one beat ... beef patty about the size of a large dinner plate ... two or three pounds of meat in it ... don't recall fer sure, but it's less than $20 I think ...

Some places (R Place in Morris IL?) offer a 3-pounder that is free if one person eats it in one sitting.

We have one of those up here in the FL panhandle too at McGuires Irish Pub - http://www.mcguiresirishpub.com/images/l_menu_pg5.gif It's ground filet mignon with a side of caviar. I've never heard of anyone actually ordering one. However I have known people to order one that used to be on the menu called the Terrible Garbage Burger - it had everything on it, including peanut butter. ewwww

Kobe beef is supposed to be tender, lean, melt-in-your mouth steak. Making it into burgers is heresey. Plus, lean meat generally doesn't make very good burgers, too dry as Eleanor said.

Oh yeah $10 to Make-a-Wish -- aren't they generous!
