King Wingbipeekaboo approves.

Man, I gotta hand it to 'em. It's determination in the face of staggering odds.

Planting a few kelp underwater may be like putting your finger in a dyke, but it ain't as much fun.

plant a little kelp - i kinda like this as a gnfarb.

"Sea Farmers" would also bagnfarb.

"Sea squirts"?? That's disgusting!

Christobol - the last time I tried to put my finger in a dyke, she kicked my ass - where's the fun in that?

Also, I though spending all that time and money on kelp was a huge waste, til I got to the part where they need it to make beer - now I'm all for it

TCK - there's the fun for the people watching.

Would you rather watch someone planting kelp or getting their ass kicked by a dyke?

By the way, I am in no way endorsing violence as the answer to the rampant dyke finger dilemma which will probably not be resolved until the Supreme Court hears Joey "Stinkthumbs" Malone v. Pat, but will begrudgingly watch it on Cinemax nevertheless.

Key Quote: We should protect it just on the grounds that it's for our grandchildren

Man am I glad I'm not this guy's grandkid.

Damn urchins! I llve in su.so.ca. and I had no idea this problem existed. I used to love to see kelp littered along the beach everywhere you walked. And the gazillions of teeny, tiny black insects buzzing around it - they're gone now too, I suppose....

But the kelp was really pretty and I feel bad about this.

Memo to the sea farmers: KEEP TRYING!!

Christobol: having never watched kelp being planted, I can't say for sure, but I see your point - watchin a good ass-kickin is always fun (gender issues notwithstanding), as long as it's not your ass that's bein kicked

wow - my last comment triggered the spam police - I had to enter a string of letters and numbers - it was explained that "This test is used to prevent automated robots from posting comments."

don't automated robots have rights?

also, which part sounded like spam? maybe I said "ass" too many times?

let's see: ass ass ass ass ass

nope - taht didn't do it - I guess it's ok to say ass as many time as you want

Maybe it was the word "spam" itself, TCK.

Let's see.

spam spam spam spam spam spam spam spam

Eleanor - I guess we'll never know

but now I'm wondering whether its just automated robots we're trying to keep out - are other kinds of robots OK? are there other kinds of robots?
