in the "Safety, Hints and Warranty" section it says:
Caution: Do not operate Balloon Bazooka â„¢ while impaired.
Also:
Warning: To Avoid Personal Injury, NEVER launch water balloons at or in the direction of people, animals or personal property.
what's the point of having a balloon bazooka if you can't get a little impaired and water bomb the neighborhood cats?? or maybe even the neighbors

Well then ... what the hell are you supposed to do with it?

I have never been more proud to be a guy in America.
Posted by: Addicted to 24 | August 02, 2005 at 06:02 PM
Amy might i suggest a 21 gun salute for that bozo. And by 21 i mean 42 and by salute i mean fire at very very very close range.
Posted by: Addicted to 24 | August 02, 2005 at 06:05 PM
I almost bought one of these for a party this summer. But then I went with the "Do anything for a nickel party girl pack - now with EVEN MORE Bimbotronics®"
Turned out they could launch a balloon pretty far, too.
Posted by: Christobol | August 02, 2005 at 06:29 PM
such a great idea
Posted by: lakers tickets | August 02, 2005 at 06:51 PM
I think it was extremely thoughtful of them to camoflage a gun that shoots neon colored balloons.
Posted by: martinishark | August 02, 2005 at 06:51 PM
From both a marketing and manufacturing perspective, they could have just made one model, named it "The Magnum", used the ad slogan "One Size Fits All" and still appealed to their core demographic. And, yes, I've ordered one. The big one.

Totaly off subject, but I'm curious. My popup blocker has gone absolutely nuts with the new blog site. I haven't seen anyone else comment on this. Has my google bar gone crazy or are there a ton of ads here now? Just wondering...
Posted by: d(m)b fan | August 02, 2005 at 06:56 PM
my suggestion: Mozilla Firefox....blocks the pop-ups and doesn't annoy you by telling you how many popups it's blocking - I didn't even know there were popups

Several people have commented on the pop-ups, and I'm thinking, "What pop-ups?" But of course TCK is right - it's Firefox, silently vanquishing them.
But IE 6 also has a pop-up blocker, for which you can set preferences as to whether you want it to play the sound or not, and show the information bar, or not, when a pop-up is blocked. You can also set it to "high", which will probably block some things, like comment windows on other sites, that you may not want blocked, but pressing "control" allows manual override.
Feel free to ignore the preceding and concentrate exclusively on the phrase, "manual override."

some people complain about double posts - but I'd much rather suffer from doublepost than premature post
Posted by: TCK | August 02, 2005 at 08:29 PM
multiple post is probably a better term
Posted by: TCK | August 02, 2005 at 08:32 PM
*is now mad as a wet furry hen*
*loads balloons with chocolate redi-whip*
*fires at stealth water bomber*

My husband thought getting me with the super soaker was funny?
He is in for it now.

*zips in on high speed*
with my new high speed computer, flat panel monitor and DVI connector I have the Free Edition of "Pop-Up Stopper". A little line comes up at the top of the screen that says "pop-up blocked", and if you want to click on a video or a slide show, you just hold down the Control button, and it comes up - nothing to figure out - sort of pop-up blocker for dummies! (That would be me!)
*uses DVI connector cable as a Tarzan rope and swings out*
Posted by: Eleanor | August 02, 2005 at 09:14 PM
I'm using IE, and I have my popup blocker disabled at the moment, and not a popup to be seen. Methinks that anyone that's getting a whole lotta popups has an adware problem not related to this site. Scan your computer, preferably in Safe Mode, with as many adware/spyware detectors as you can find!
Posted by: djtonyb | August 02, 2005 at 09:28 PM
All this talk of pop-ups has me hungry for a pop-tart.
Hope I don't set the toaster on fire.

"Well honey, the kids are just gonna have to learn to eat every other day, 'cause I need this!"
Posted by: lurker | August 02, 2005 at 10:18 PM
Can anyone tell me what's up with the blog clock? It seems to be WAY off.
Posted by: louis gehrig | August 02, 2005 at 11:14 PM
Hey Dave, I can't believe you've sold out and now your site has a gazillion ads and pop-ups. I'll still read but pop-ups are EVIL.
Posted by: Dan | August 03, 2005 at 12:23 AM
I have not experienced any pop-ups. You people need to look into Ad-Aware and Spybot: Search & Destroy. Pop-ups only plague the vulnerable.
And of course, there are less expensive ways to launch balloons.

So! Spam still wins out in the end. Let's go back to the old blog now ;)

i'd still like to validify their butts with a rapier.
Posted by: not me | August 03, 2005 at 05:03 AM
Is anyone else concerned with this out-of-control water baloon arms race? We must do what's necessary to keep this technology out of the hands of terrorists children or we we'll all be wet!
Posted by: DaBlade | August 03, 2005 at 07:40 AM
I don't get any pop-ups.
Posted by: slyeyes | August 03, 2005 at 08:19 AM
sly, I'm sure there is a spammer around here who can provide a link to a remedy for that.
Posted by: Marvin | Paranoid Android | August 03, 2005 at 08:39 AM
I see they come in 3 sizes: Long, Longer and Longest. What about girth?
Posted by: casey | August 03, 2005 at 09:29 AM
Ok, I forgot that my mom clicks "YES" to every pop-up that comes up so when I was on her computer instead of mine it very well could have been a false accusation. I will do further research and I appologize for an early disgruntled post. (but if I'm right I get to do a little dance in my boxers... hell, I'll do a little dance right now just b/c I can)
Posted by: Dan | August 03, 2005 at 09:32 AM
Dan, I don't believe you can. I think you are just saying that. Photographic proof is required.
Posted by: casey | August 03, 2005 at 09:41 AM
I'll see what I can do. Anybody know where I can rent a crap-cam?
Posted by: Dan | August 03, 2005 at 10:03 AM
I also don't get any pop-ups. Google toolbar works great for me.
*skips off to the mall to play DDR*
