ATTENTION, AOL USERS WHO HAVE BEEN WORRYING THAT YOU DID SOMETHING WRONG AND THEREFORE WERE BANNED FROM COMMENTING
Do not be concerned. The Great and Powerful Nava has spoken: An AOL IP address was added to the block list on March 11th. They've removed it and that should take care of the problem.
ALL HAIL NAVA!

Hail!

AOL? Mwahahahaha. AOL users did do something wrong: they gave AOL their credit card number so they can be over-charged for the worst internet service available on the planet. Not that I have anything against AOL... I'm just sayin'...

This does NOT mean that you didn't do something wrong . . .

Block List AOL IP Address = Lost A P*sser Black D*ldo.
Not that there's anything wrong with AOL losers blacking an IP block, or blipping a bloated list, or anything like that.

I bet if they would ban the Yahoo! users, we would see a similar improvement. Whaddya think julietine?

So judi,
Who(whom?)is this "they've".
Do they fly around in black helicopters? Drive immense Suburbans? What have the rest of us to fear? Was this merely a test of their great and awesome power? Or is this merely a Deux Ex Machina to explain the return of a beloved AOL blogger whose only crime was, well in a word,
completely and utterly dispicable! Completely beneath the high(whoo hoo) standards of this blog.

What if I'm not an AOL user, but I've been worrying that I've done something wrong and am therefore waiting for a butt buttering from the blog?
Do you think I could maybe get a Xanax or two, while I wait?
Gee thanks, that'd make it swell.
Posted by: Mr.Fishair | March 22, 2005 at 01:23 PM
*loves Fish a xanax and butters his butt.*
Don't worry in another 2 weeks the blog clock will be correct. At least for those on the eastern seaboard of the US. For the rest of us it will still just be random numbers at the bottom of our posts.

i still can't access this site in IE, but it works fine in firefox. it gives me a 403 (permission denied). not that my life is ruined by this.

My Dad uses AOL, at age 76, and he certainly 'gets' Dave Barry, having lived in Miami since 1960.
On the other hand, on 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire' on the 'ask the audience' lifeline they now also give the responses of AOL users to the question asked. The AOL users almost always are less positive about the correct answer than the studio audience.

NAVA is the first company to officially recognize that IE sucks!

Who is this Supposed God Nava. I am familiar with the Great White Goddess of the Alphabet VANA, but not nava. Is this some usurper from an alternate universe?
Posted by: igloo | March 23, 2005 at 03:40 AM
But it happened to me earlier again, during the banana posts. It gave the reason that I'm not fit to post. That really hurts.
Posted by: Lmd33 | March 23, 2005 at 02:10 PM
Lmd33: me too. If I have an IP starting with 64. or 152. I am forbidden from posting.
Does that seem right or fair?
