this is the highlight of my day
(does that mean my life is really as pathetic as I think it does?)

oooooh, those poor penguins...

That is just the coolest Productivity Enhancer.
Simple minds love simple things.
I'd like to thank my coach and the wonderful judges.

Melissa, life is pathetic when one gets the first post and then the Computer Grinch bumps a couple later posts above you.
Life without chocolate? Truly pathetic.

hmmm 26.7 dance penguins, dance!
merry midwinter solstice!

My dad has always said that December 21st is his favorite day of the year. It is the shortest day of the year and means that the following days will begin to get longer.

stupid Computer Grinch and double posts...

* takes another long sip of hot cocoa *

That damn polar bear judge keeps screwing me over. I get a great score on every dive from the walrus and the baby seal, but the polar bear? Nooooooooo. I starting to think there are anti-pengite sentiments in the polar bear community. I'm willing to bet that polar bears have secret meetings where they drink beer (stolen from cows) and plot the erradication of penguins.

**doing the happy penguin dance*

I scored a thiiirrtty, I scored a thiiirrtty!

**repeat as necessary**

Memo to Brian B: nobody likes a show off!

And I do NOT say that because I only got an 11.4!!!!!

Damn, damn, damn!!!! But this gives me an opportunity to say that I also got a voice that asked, "have you even bothered to read the instructions???

No one likes a smart a** this early in the morning!

*prays that this won't be a double post*

Eleanor, it's for precisely that reason that I keep the sound on my laptop turned off. The voices in my head don't need the competition.

I like this one a LOT more than the "drunk Santa" game, that's for sure!

rita, you have voices in you he...?

Um, sorry, gotta go.

And that, gadies and lentemen, is my FIRST triple post ever! I have no clue as to what I did, but I sure did it. Dang!

*runs out of building*

Look at the timing of those comments.

'The clock on the blog suffers from temporal displacement schizophrenia, with retroactive tendencies', is what the nurse said.

D'Art - Maybe the block clog needs some beer. Quality, smooth, outlived-its-shelf-life Fleck beer.

I LOVE THAT GAME!!!

Hooray!

I got a 28.7!

I Rule on the Yule!

Gee, D'art, I hope I didn't scare you.

The voices aren't talking to you.

MOTW, that is sooo wierd. MY dad says that December 22 is the shortest day of the year. It is also his birthday. Challenge: who can tell us which dad is correct?

Ha, ha, I got a perfect 30 after about five tries. On my third try, I got a 29.5.

December 7 Pearl Harbor Day
12 Poinsettia Day
21 Winter Solstice (shortest day of the year)
25 Christmas
26 Chanukah lasts 8 days
26 or 27 Boxing Day find out why the 26th or 27th...this year.
26 Kwanzaa
31 New Year's Eve

Why, thank you Judi! hehehe, I cant wait to tell dad he is wrong. According to him, he's NEVER wrong!

December 8 - MOTW's birthday.
The longest day of the year for my mother for the year I was born.

Lily --

gotta go, still some blog to check, will be back later

u.o. - see post on other thread -

judi... perhaps boxing day could be on 27th because 26th is a Sunday ? and such a riotously secular activity as, well whatever they do, shouldn't be on the Sabbath ?
*just a guess*

Just in case this is really bothering anyone - Boxing Day is always the 26th. However, it is a statutory holiday in Canada, and since the 26th is a Sunday we working stiffs get to take the Monday off to do our boxing.

In beautiful Williams Lake, B.C., the first working day after New Year's is also a municipal holiday, officially designated "Wrestling Day" (really!).

Odd, my calendar has Hanukkah starting on the 8th this year. (Technically sunset on the 7th) Is my calendar wonky or is Judi looking at an '05 calendar?

I figure all the boxing and wrestling come the day after Christmas as people return/exchange their gifts.

Booger

You're (not your) right Weasel, Hanukkah is over - it was quite early this year!

Why do we (that would be me) say it was early??? Because we judge it by when Christmas is??? Hanukkah is when it is and it stands alone!

Every day should have one philosophical thought.
I am finished now.
Carry one.

OK Eleanor, I carried the one. Now what?

Judi, could you please post more productivity enhancers? This is the best time of year for them - especially in the office around now. Gee I hope my boss isn't reading this.

Oh, you can put it down Sandy. It's quite a heavy one to be carrying about.

Wait now I'm confused.

Are you carrying the one or an about??

Phew, thanks, Mr Fishair. That was one helluva heavy one. Didn't touch any about. About what?

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaHA!!

Now divide by eleventy -twenty, take the square root of pi, add 14 and have a stiff drink!

This is pretty good. But where is the Yeti?

Woo Hoo! 30/30
