"Beer bubbles go down."
Now you tell me. I've spent most of my life trying to get women to do that!
Oh, wait, I'm sorry. This is supposed to be a family website. My bad.

That's what makes this country great, that we have scientists willing to do the important research needed to move the frontiers of science back (to the Bud Age, I guess).

Yup. Fooled you too, huh Punk? I'm actually a recovering liberal.

I just have a question. Is there a government grant for this kind of study? And if so, how can I obtain one?

Now this is some research that should be put up for an Ignobel (the awards that honor irreproducible or simply unwarranted research studies). They are considered quite an honor. Previous winners include the scientish who spent a large amount of time researching why the shower curtain always seems to blow in. Want to know more about Ignobels? There's a whole book on them.

2pups - That phrase "recovering liberal" rings a bell. Have you ever heard of C. Mason Weaver?
Posted by: steve | March 17, 2004 at 11:35 AM
Atta girl rachel! We'll show these guys that the thought of a John Kerry presidency hasn't sucked the life out of us yet! And no I haven't Steve. Would I like to?
Posted by: twopuppies | March 17, 2004 at 12:35 PM
Please tell me my tax dollars didn't pay for that study??

Have any of you ever tried putting raisins in a carbonated beverage? We did extensive research on this phenomenon in college - in the cafeteria, in lieu of actually eating the food. The little raisins collect the bubbles and go up! At the top the little bubbles pop and the raisins go back down to collect more little bubbles and go right back up. Show your toddlers, they will love it!

2pups - C. Mason Weaver is an ex-black-panther-type who grew up and became a staunch conservative. He wrote a book called "It's OK to Leave the Plantation" about how the liberals keep people poor so that they have a steady supply voters. Anyway, he calls himself a liberal in recovery. Excellent reading, and an excellent speaker should you ever have the opportunity. Kind of an Alan Keyes type.
