*gestures towards the cabana boy*

I'll have what Lab's having. And make mine a double!

(Lab said tout!)

Double cheeseburger with PB and nutella, comming up!

WHOA. To clarify, I did not mean I wanted a stripper. Unless they are of the male variety.
Get'cher minds outta the gutters!

(NTTAWWT)

*sound of much snorkage*

I have to go study now, though... be back soon!

Ça te dit de rentrer chez moi et de faire des choses que je raconterai de toute façon à tout le monde?

*watches LOST - starring Slyeyes.*

Lab- Pints for Pants is a local charity drive that I put on here. Only, not on Fridays.

*Love Lab a Lowenbrau*

Fish! Way up there, did you say shocker alert?

Did you mean this one?

Warning: NSFW, Yellow for caution, Deep Magenta for pervieness

Here's to good friends.
Tonight is kind of special.
The beer we'll pour
must say something more, somehow.
So tonight (tonight),
Tonight,
Let it be Lowenbrau (let it be Lowenbrau).

Awww... *sniff* *sniff* I love you, Fishy.

You went there, didn't you, Brian? *snicker*

Lowenbrau??!! Feck that shite! Pabst Blue Ribbon!

I did Lab. Sorry about that.

**unsuccessfully attempts to hide evil grin**

Among some of my friends, that has replaced the 'rock on' devil horns.

*has no idead what has infected the moaties today*

I'm having tummy issues and I can't stop burping. Really loud and gross ones. And I'm at WORK!! EEECCCCKKKKK! I haven't had anything to eat. I'm sipping tea. What could cause this?

I'd ask for suggestions, but I'm afraid of the answers I might get with the moat mood today.

Mad....I've had that happen...from nerves. The rotten egg type?

I mean...not that happens to me. Er. Much.

Unfortunately it can move lower...

TMI I know.

Sarah, I have to agree with Jeff (way up there) about baseball. I think people who find it boring don't really know what they're supposed to be watching watching. I don't mind if people are uninterested, different strokes and all, but baseball really has more nuances than any sport I know of. I don't think there's a sport that's less boring. (And what other sport has the danger of death and dismemberment of the fans from a high speed projectile? Maybe golf, but you get my point.) And as to Jeff's comment about the Sox (White and Red) my Giants are the second longest suffering team behind the Cubbies. Having personally witnessed the "Medicine at Edison" in the 2002 World Series I can confidently say I have never been to a more exiting (or maddeningly depressing) event in any sport, and would choose it again, even with the same result, over any other game.

The dark side of Chuck Berry.

Not a nice man by any definition.

Cute, Brian. I kinda liked this one.

bbescuela: I agree that baseball is full of nuances. I used to take my own (self-designed) score sheets and keep track of every pitch, etc. It made it more interesting. But there is a lot of time where absolutely nothing is happening from a spectator's view-point. A pitcher's duel is a lot like watching slow dancing. Great if you like that sort of thing, but slow.

As far as nuance goes, baseball doesn't have a lock on that one. Those (of us) who are bigger football (American) fans find that game to be full of nuance. As a matter of fact, we get *really annoyed* with television because you can't see what's going on down field when the QB has dropped back to pass. The O-line pulls, shifts, and has a major impact on the play. The D-backs have to decide in a split second how the play is going to go and react to it. It's quite exciting. But again, there is a lot of time where nothing is happening.

That's what I love about soccer. It has nuance, quickness, and non-stop (nearly, anyway) action.

But then, you're talking to somebody who actually watched yachting on TV. I'm weird.

Since I keep forgetting...yesterday and today's playlists...

Lab, I respect your opinion, but respectfully disagree. I LOVE a good pitchers duel, because I enjoy watching how the pitchers work the batters, how the defensive alignments shift, watching the batters make adjustments, seeing the defense step up to support their pitcher, and so on. I even like to watch the relievers warm up. I never have a problem finding something going on and trying to figure out why.

And I've seen some pretty exciting yacht races in my day.

Loves both Lab and BB, but I'm going to have to go with BB on this one.
There is nothing better than a baseball game on a perfect day and only a few things better than a baseball game on an imperfect day.

The thing is we are all wired differently. Just as I cannot fathom how anyone (like insom and ASK) could possibly, voluntarily, desire to study math for a living. I feel the same about golf, tennis and basketball. But it is just because my brain is wired differently than theirs. Not that anyone is right or wrong. Diversity is what makes the world go round.

And Lab obviously you do a great job studying the football games based on the last 2 years of FF. I do enjoy watching football games (both US and soccer), but I can't commit all the players and their stats to memory. Too much science gobbly gook muching up the works.

Susan- thanks for the support. I'm feeling better now. Hopefully I haven't frightened off too many of my lab mates.

I haven't got the attention span to watch sports. Since I haven't a clue what is going on, it is like listening to a conversation in a foreign language; sure, if you pay very close attention, you might pick up a word here or there, but not enough for anything to make sense. So you tune it out. Or at least, I do.

I'm sorry if I didn't state myself clearly. I have no problem with baseball as a sport. It doesn't appeal to me, really, but I understand the sport in great detail.

The times I'm talking about are like... between pitches. There is a fairly long time while the pitcher walks around the mound and then gets set for the pitch. Or, after an out, the ball is thrown around the bases. Then there is between innings. It's a lot of little tiny gaps, but it adds up.

I quit watching the sport when they went on strike. Haven't wanted to support them since.

Speaking of baseball......

happy dance, happy dance

Mad: The stats are a hobby of mine. And I don't really think about them. I compile them on my computer and then do analysis. I couldn't tell you what a particular player's QB rating is, or anything like that.

And... when I do end up watching baseball... I secretly enjoy it. Every pitch... just like bbescuela. Except for watching players warm up... that's beer sipping time.

sly, what do you have against Mulder?

Well....there was Tuesday night.

BUT, bb, you know what the happy dancing was for.

AND...if this is what Mulder needs to prevent another frikking massacreeee like Tuesday, then OK. Wish they could keep Duncan in St. Louis, though. Oh well, at least PUJOLS is back!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, Pujols is amazing, no doubt about it. I was obviously pulling your leg. The Cards are one of the teams I follow with interest. My pop was childhood friends with Harry "the Cat" Brecheen of the Gas House Gang. Go Cards!

I'm here... I just don't have anything to say.

Ok, I have been gone from the main blog for so long that I don't know who's who or what's what. I just saw rhealist out there. Why is rhealist out there and not in here? I always liked rhealist.

I like it a lot when the players throw the ball around the bases after an out. And I was just thinking the other day that TV doesn't really show that. They're too busy with a graphic or something and I think it's cute.

Fox Mulder?

El, that's called going "around the horn," in case you're interested. Hopefully;)

Thanks bb. Yes, I am interested, and I like to learn new stuff. I'll work it into a conversation with CG when he comes over tomorrow.

Want to give me a great sentence that includes the word YANKEES! ? :)

How about, "Ahoy Yank, ees there any more beer left?"

Mmmmm Fox Mulder....Drool!

Lab- wasn't specifically refering to you, but to others who had made comments. Just wanted to work in a way to remind Higgy of your multiple FF wins. Thanks for giving me a chance to do it again :-)

*slips out onto a moat raft*

ROFL at Leetie!!! and thanks for closing my italics. I just get so worked up when I think of the Yankees! :)

To foreigners, a Yankee is an American.
To Americans, a Yankee is a Northerner.
To Easterners, a Yankee is a New Englander.
To New Englanders, a Yankee is a Vermonter.
And in Vermont, a Yankee is somebody who eats pie for breakfast.

I shall never look at my new job in quite the same way again!

{{{{MOTW}}}}

Hang in there, I wish I could tele-troubleshoot an insulin pump as well as I can computer related issues...

*knows fer shure that he's never going to visit the MOAT on the werk provided laptop, and thus will be traveling with two in tow*

This may be a shocker if you plug it into a high powered amp and turn it up to 11...

*runs back to continue online testing for new job, with glass of Sauvignon Blanc in hand*

It's good to keep a sense of humor when dealing with very dry, boring PowerPoint presentations you must be quizzed on in order to keep your job. The wine doesn't hurt, either...

I'm sorry I started the "servicing an ATM" innuendo, Tony.

The French version of SuperNanny is on TV. *shudder*

um... I call em zippy machines, not ATMs and now I'm glad. Mostly I call em that because I call my cash card a zippy card (cos you zip it through the machines and it pays for stuff!)

Tony.. I think a second laptop would be wise.

I'm baking peanut butter choc chip cookies. Yummm.. I made brownies, but they didn't work out (burnt on the outside, raw in the centre). My oven has been misbehaving a little lately.. I only just rescued the cookies... this could cost me money. I don't like it when that happens.

I'm home and my fire is once again blazing away. There's just something about fires that I love!!

BRAT!! Come back lots!!

Mr Fisher.. it's good to see you hanging round a lot more!

{{MOTW and B}} Hope everything's evening out for you both!

Something else. Maybe later.

Oh, and I love cricket. Just not watched live. I tried to do that once, but with my impaired vision, by the time I focused on the ball, it was gone. It's much easier to watch on TV and let the cameras track it for you. I also love rugby.. and that's about the only sports that I bother watching.

*clicks on Tony's link*

Oh.

World Cup kitsch - gotta love it!

*imagines sly's dismay that she has already purchased the I-Buzz*

*imagines that rita must already have one on the Wheelie-chair™*

Announcement

judi posted this on the So.FL. thread on the MB, and I asked her if I could copy and paste it here, since all MOATies don't always go there. I've been over there reading some of DB's old stuff, some funny and some sad. It's been nice.
So here's what judi posted:

hmmm, this seems as good a place as any to post that i updated the web site (davebarry.com for anyone not paying attention) with a new longish column, circa 1982, on the miscellaneous columns page (go to "stuff" first) and a very new item on the NEWS page (go there from the front page). it would really make me happy if anyone would go there without my having to post about it ;) but i promise not to whine about it too much.

Higgy I voted for late August, but I don't really care if it's a weekday or a weekend day, just the later the better. :) But I had to pick one.

Wednesday

On the Daily Show, in talking about the World Cup, Jon Stewart referred to Australia as "The Drunken us".

DAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!

{{{El}}} Thank you...I wouldn't have seen that.

*plots on how to get to Charlotte, NC...on a Sunday after church...an hour and a half away...in an hour*

Would I be struck down for missing church to see Dave?

Susan.. No. Dave's the son of a preacher man. He'll give you a tardy pass

sly, Reyes pitched a complete game one hitter, walked none, struck out six and got the loss? WTFBBQ is that? How about scoring some runs for the kid?

i can only get access to a 'puter late at night, so there's two days of MB I've missed...
Dave only responded once to something I wrote , but it definitely helped justify the time i spent on the blog to the Mrs. I also got one response from judi, and one from Claire Martin...At the end of next week I'm going to visit the parents in s.fla. (because it just isn't hot enough here), with the Mrs., maybe i can call judi...

Scott Rice (who rubs the Bulwer-Lytton contest) e-mailed me back "Your latest infliction has arrived." sounds like a form-letter to me...I hope at least i'm worth a dishonorable mention...

Kylie had a lump under her scalp, so we panicked that her surgery was coming undone or something, the Dr. said that it was part of a plastic bolt or screw that was dissolving... so she really is a Frankenbaby. when she's outside with a bonnet on random strangers come up and gush over her, I want to whip off her hat and say "Ta-Daaa!" She has a real handle on two words, "purple" and "Granddad".

sentence for el: after a session with the yank-er, the yank-ee's pride was showing...

aawwww Insom.. what a great Grandad (not a great-Grandad!) you are! "This is my granddaughter, Frankenbaby" - how long until she's 1?

Do you regularly contribute to Bulwer-Lytton? Because it definitely sounds like they know you well...

oh.. and incredible language skills, too.. those are tough words for a little mouth!

Good early morning, MOATies. Saw an excellent concert last night as part of the Celebrate Brooklyn! series. These are FREE concerts in the Prospect Park Bandshell, other than the suggested $3 contribution for the parks.

We saw Los Lonely Boys, who were terrific (their new CD comes out next month), and British soul singer James Hunter as the opening act.

As his website would indicate, he is not widely known in the States, but he did a great set. I heard a LOT of Sam Cooke in his voice and the style of his songs, also some James Brown and maybe a little B.B. King among others.

It was incredibly humid last night and we could understand how he was wearing a suit. He must have lost 5-10 pounds up there.

Anyway, really good stuff. Hunter played for 55 minutes and Los Lonely Boys for 80.

Yay, Sarah! Congrats!

Jeff.. sounds like a great night!

My pop was childhood friends with Harry "the Cat" Brecheen of the Gas House Gang. Go Cards!

Cool! Harry beat the Red Sox 3 times in the 1946 World Series, as I recall.

Kaf: yum for the peanut butter chocolate chip cookies.

The concert was at 7:30 and we got there early so I could park - I had no trouble parking a few blocks away. Anyway, we got to the park at 6:50 and basically could have had any seat we wanted, so we took two seats to the side because there was nothing in front of us and we got all the legroom we wanted.

But boy was it muggy! I'll bet you wouldn't mind a little of the heat, right Kaf?

Way to go, Sarah.

*wraps hands around warm coffee mug trying to keep her appendages from freezing*

Why, Jeff, whatever would give you that impression?

It's supposed to clear up a bit after the weekend. I can't wait.

Glad you had fun, Jeff!
None of the concerts here interest me. They all involve Caribbean/African/rap/R&B sounds, which I hate.

Insom, "Frankenbaby" just keeps on cracking me up.

OK, now I'm going to go see if I can wake up after a cuppa tea.

Oh, and now that I have a bit of tea in my system... Thanks to El for the info on the old column being posted! *smooch*

I hadn't been back at that page for ages, so I'm rereading everything and cracking up: "...even though it's midnight and I have the mental alertness of ceiling tile." Dave is a genius, all right!

"I leave Washington for Chicago on a 7 AM flight. This is too early for flying. This is The Plane of the Living Dead. I bet the pilot is wearing a bathrobe. I hope he has autopilot up there."

*snork* What a great way to start the morning! Tea and Dave.

Marie, we definitely were having Korou-like humidity here. I don't know how you stand it on a regular basis.

Unfortunately, our forecast stinks. A stationary front is setting up to the west and a Bermuda high to the East will block it from going anywhere, allowing mucho rain to move up in waves for Friday night and Saturday and on into Sunday and Monday and possibly even Tuesday and Wednesday.

At least it will be cooler, but we are going to the theater Sunday afternoon and the ballgame Tuesday night, and Jackie has an "event" tonight.

Oh well, as the most appropriate summer song put it,

Hot town, summer in the city
Back of my neck getting dirty and gritty
Been down, isn't it a pity
Doesn't seem to be a shadow in the city

All around, people looking half dead
Walking on the sidewalk, hotter than a match head

Gotta go make coffee.

Your body gradually gets used to the climate. How, I don't know. I'm still amazed by it, because I remember how I used to practically drop dead during the first week if I walked so much as 5 yards in the sun. On the second day I was here, we walked to the river. By the time we got there - nay, before! - my face was tomato-red and I was gasping for air like a beached fish.
But yeah, when the humidity reaches an insane nine bajillion percent, I sure can feel it. And being outside at noon without a hat or a parasol and at least a liter of water is suicide.

G'mornin Moaties

Jeff ~ I wouldn't count on that rain. They've been telling us for days we were getting rain. Aside from some seriously scarey clouds yesterday we haven't seen anything from that storm.

I'm hoping. It looks like New Jersey and the Catskills area should be in for the worst of it, but we'll get some. The latest I saw was 1-2 inches in the city and east, 2-4 just west of us and 5 inches in northwest NJ and north.

It's just sticky and miserable, however.

This is a job, and an applicant, you might not want:

Interviewer: So, in this position, sometimes the clients with behavioral issues might hit you or bite you. Would you have an issue with this? Would you have trouble working with that client again?
Interviewee: Oh, no, my boyfriend bites me all the time. See?

Ah, marital bliss:

Suit #1: Hey, how are you? Haven't seen you in forever! Still married?
Suit #2: Yup, expecting my first.
Suit #1: Really! When?
Suit #2: November 7th. Bitch finally finished her PhD so she could work, and now she's pregnant!

Here's another example:

With His Girlfriend and Her Drug Dealer, As Usual

Mom: So I talked to the lawyers this morning, honey, and when school is done, we're going to move into the Hampton house.
5-year-old son: Is Daddy coming?
Mom: No sweetie, he is going to stay in the city.

*hands BrianB a tossed salad and a copy of "Anal Pleasure & Health"*

Laughing my a$$ off at that one this morning. Thanks Tony!

I also liked Jeff's favorite from my Shocker link last night. Forgot about that one.

It's a wet and rainy Friday here in Cincy this morning. Other than that, it's still a Friday and the weekend is nigh!

sly, Reyes pitched a complete game one hitter, walked none, struck out six and got the loss? WTFBBQ is that? How about scoring some runs for the kid?

*sob* I KNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We've got some good free and/or cheap concerts coming to St. Louis this summer, too. Included in that will be Blues Traveler ($5.00)

BUT

It's the same night Dave is here for a book signing.

AND

that's also my birthday.

Well, Jackie has done it again. (Good thing she's been working some days lately to pay for all these concerts!)

I checked James Hunter's website and saw after a few more concerts opening for Los Lonely Boys (and with one opening later this summer for Van Morrison, his sponsor/mentor) he is doing a tour with Boz Scaggs.

Jackie: "Ooh, get tickets!"

So, we have a second three-day block in August as follows:

August 15 Boz Scaggs/James Hunter at Town Hall
August 16 Yankees vs. Baltimore
August 17 Steely Dan/Michael McDonald at Jones Beach

And next weekend we'll be seeing sly in NY!

Jeff, Yahell and A-OH-L are arguing again and I'm getting some e-mails bounced back to me.

Anyway, if Carmine's is too crowded, what is an alternative? Besides Virgils. I liked that, but since I've been there already, would like to try something else.

But we can talk after we get to NYC.

....and would Jackie want to go on our purse-buying trip to Battery Park?

Today is

*does the Nestea plunge into the MOAT*

Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh

[bleep, bleep, bleep]

Posting Report:

Looks like we're off to a relatively slow start this Friday and it's likely to stay that way throughout the day. However, with a sudden strong front moving in from the MB, we could see a slight chance of showers, sometime around pants down. Temperatures and Posting will start to climb with the northeast winds nearing 9 mph. Remember, Jello saves lives. This has been your local posting update, and I'm Mr. Fisher.

Back to you Moat.

B.- I'm still in shock over the shocker..... (ya sick bastid, but that's why I love ya bro) I mean it was funny , but it anal that.

MOTW- Glad to see you plunging ahead. ;)

Speaking of which.

*looks at dreaded stacks of paperwerk towering above him from all sides of his desk*

Ah feck it, it'll wait til Moanday.

Let's Play Ball!!

Yikes - I don't think I've ever witnessed such a long-lasted intense electrical storm as I did last night. Between about 9 pm and 2 am, not more than 3 seconds elapsed between lightning strikes. House shakers! For 5 hours! Even JU, who normally loves thunderstorms was saying "enough already!" sheesh. At one point when the emergency weather report came on, they said that three inches of rain had already fallen. More storms are forecasted thru Monday.

I hope the storms stay away from Myrtle Beach! If we can get all our schtick together, we might start driving this evening and stay over somewhere in the middle to break up the driving. I think that two 4-5 hour drives will be better than one 9-10 hour drive. With a puppy. *twitch* I guess I had better do some research into dog-friendly motels along I-95.

In other news, my Mother's Day cyclamen is dead. Totally expected. I don't do well with cyclamens. Meanwhile, the totally fragile-looking "tropical foliage" plant that JU gave to me is still clinging to life. :)

Sly, you should have my e-mail by now. Jackie is definitely up for purse shopping on Monday, but I doubt we'll find anything classy enough to meet El's high standards.

(Of course, we're talking "high standards" in purses, as any fan of Adam Sandler movies cannot be said to have "high standards" there.)

Speaking of plants, have I ever told you that I have a piece of my wedding bouquet that is still alive? My mom took a sprig of some pretty foliage and rooted it. I planted it and have been tending it for the last 13 years. I'm so scared of losing it! I had propagated it a few times, but am now left with only one, the original. I really should re-pot it.

Plants. Way to kill the MOAT.

Ok, new topic: Thongs! Fishnets! Garters!

*zips in*

Good morning everyone, and a special hello to Leetie! I love plant conversations. I just got here, that's all. I kill most plants except ones that other people can't grow. My ONLY 2 specialties are clyclamen and orchids - go figure!!!

I went to the FF site, clicked on My Team and saw a list of players starting with S. Alexander and L.T.
I thought they'd given those 2 to me, then I remembered that I went through that same mental exercise last year - *snork* and *sigh*

(hehehe, Leetie said pot.....)

And I'm not sure I want to know why your thumb is so green.

LTTG here, but thanks to everyone who wished a Happy Fathers Day, it worked, and I hope you other Daddios were as Happy as I was.

A (PROUD) Father's Day Tale

It was just about bedtime and I was on the couch with a cold beer in my hand. The lights were dim and the reflections of the days doings were sinking there way in. I watched my little boy sip on his milk as he was standing in front of the adjacent recliner, soflty swaying to an internal beat. So calm, so happy I thought. Starting to doze off, I flipped through the channels and found that the NBA Finals were on. Then BAM! My son flipped out! He suddenly pointed at the TV, dropped his milk and started shouting at the top of his little lungs, "BALL!!" "DAT BALL!" "LOOK!" "BALL! BALL!"

I laughed, I cried, I peed a little in my pants from being startled, but I was more so extremely proud. I picked him up and gave him a great big 'ol hug. It's not everyday you see a child recognize sports on TV, and be thrilled about it. Then again, I'm sure I'm just werid like that, but to me,it was the Perfect End, to a Perfect Day.

The End.

*snif*
That's a wonderful story, Fish! Thanks for sharing it. I'll be waiting for the next chapter, where he sees a Miller Lite commercial and yells, "Drink! Drink!" :)

That's pretty great Fish! CMB does the same thing with soccer. As soon as I flip on a game, he starts walking around going 'Ball! Ball! Kick!'. Then he goes to find his little soccer ball.

Humid humid humid...

Leetie...the weather shouldn't be too bad in Myrtle Beach... *goes to check* Yep...just the standard summertime chance of thunderstorms...which doesn't mean a whole lot. That is the forcast every day...and it doesn't often rain.

Saturday: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Partly cloudy, with a high near 86. East wind between 6 and 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Saturday Night: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a low near 71. Southeast wind between 9 and 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Sunday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 8am. Partly cloudy, with a high near 84. East wind between 10 and 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

BigD...are you still going to be around the Carolinas in July...and what are your chances of coming to Charlotte, NC, oh, say, the 16th of July?

Indeed, any MOATies around the Carolinas then?

Got a call this morning...the new windows should be in the warehouse Monday...and they will come Tuesday to start installing them. 2-3 weeks my heinie. 2 weeks would be Wednesday. Looks like I will spend tonight and Saturday cleaning. Especially my daughters room. I'll do it tonight. She's on a feild trip til 10...and she has had many chances to clean. I'm gonna start throwing out things.

If she fusses I'll tell her she can't go see Dave.

awwww!

My p-nut said "his name is Nacho" when she saw a picture of Jack Black on TV. Is that good too?

*sigh*

Thanks for the info, Susan!

Have I mentioned that I'm going to meet Susan this weekend?

WOOOOOOOOOT!

"so I stopped off after work, decided I needed a little ATM action..."

"ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!"

"what! i needed money for my date!"

"oh...sorry"

"yeah, she's really into that @n@l stuff..."

Kaf, Kylie will be 1 in two weeks. She also can make animal sounds, like "woof" when someone says "dog" or "meow" if she hears "cat" or "buk-buk-buk" if she sees the rogue neighborhood chicken.

I've contributed about 3 things to Bulwer-Lytton , I hope something gets mentioned so I can put it on my Annual Report. Last year I got a poem published in The American Mathematical Monthly (in lieu of actual research).

I hate packing. Can you tell?

lEETs- ha! That's right up there!! I mean we are talkin about THE leader of Tenacious D right?

Thanks El n Twin. Ain't it grand?

*peeks in*

*spies El*

Sorry I've been MIA, everyone. Heinzed yesterday and most of the day before.

Eleanor! We are anxiously awaiting a report on the post-sleep status of your straightened hair.

Loved your story, Fish. What a great Father's Day. And with beer, no less!

insom: LOL for the ATM thing.

"yeah, she's really into that @n@l stuff..."

*double snork*

DDi and the boss don't see eye to eye:

Employee on phone: Wait, let me read you the email he sent out this morning: "Just a reminder that today, like every Friday, is acquittals day. So acquit, acquit, acquit away, and keep the frightening audits at bay." Yep, poetry...See? This is why I'm leaving.
